A first game of Tercios
« on: 16 June 2016, 07:56:28 AM »
We recently tried Liber Militum: Tercios at club.

An interesting system, especially when it comes to unit activation.

An AAR, with many pictures, plus some general thoughts on the system, can be found at Hook Island.

Interesting. How close is it to Pike & Shotte would you say?

Except that they're both element-based system set in the same period, they're not very similar; Tercios has alternate unit activation, secret orders (cards), and a lot of focus on the commanders' individual abilities (and also on army-specific perks and restrictions), as opposed to P&S's more "generic" style.

But it's a neat system, you should bring your Imperialists to club some day and try it. ;)
