Shield dilemna - opinions sought
« on: January 20, 2009, 10:01:27 AM »
Did a bit more on my Tang Chinese. The shields supplied are correct for the period but I have an illustration with a larger design. Also the picture shows the shield resting on the floor which I think is very plausible for a guard stance. I made the alternative from plasticard and greenstuff (should have spent longer on it) and now am undecided which to use.

Is the middle one the original?

For a guard stance I like the resting on the floor look.

The last shield is presumably your home made one and its a nice colourful design. :)

How many you are going to need ?

Weigh up the time to make your own shields with an attractive design against the simplicity but ease of painting the plain one.

Tough call.... :?

Tough call at Malamute says, could you rest the smaller one just under his left hand as if he is almost leaning on it?
