Sanctioner Dick: She is the law!  My gaming group is slowly easing its way into Necromunda and we’re trying the Gang Raids mini scenarios next, one of which requires a corrupt enforcer.  I have a load of the rather lovely Artel W Law Enforcement Unit figures I hope to get around to later this year, so bringing one forward in the painting queue for this scenario was an ideal opportunity to figure out their colour scheme.  I had a couple of false starts with some of the colours, but I’m quite pleased with how she’s turned out – and it means all the hard thinking is already done when I get around to the rest of the precinct.

Meanwhile, here's Defence Servitor 27RS8440.  Further to my last post, another NPC required for the Necromunda Gang Raids scenarios is a Defence Servitor.  The main body is a Kataphron Servitor, with a variety of other bits added (including the front end of the grav gun, and the servo claw at the end of the left arm), and the plinth is an Oshiro Models “Medium Cargo D” terrain piece.  It’s been a fun figure to kit bash and paint; the grimy, used and abused look isn’t my normal style, so I’m quite pleased with how it all came together.

Moaning Myrtle and Quasimungo the Sentry Servitors. 

When I got the two "living signposts" from the second Black Crab Miniatures KS I didn’t really have a plan as to how to use them, I just knew they looked cool.  Eventually, the idea to servitorise them as some sort of sentries occurred, albeit with no solid idea of how I’d do it.  When I started making the Defence Servitor (for the Gang Raids scenario), I fished them out of the lead pile and had a bit of a play with my bits box to see if inspiration would strike.

Eventually, a couple of old 40K scenery bits provided the core structural inspiration and everything else kind of fell into place from there.  In hindsight, I wish I’d mounted Quasimungo lower down the lamppost so the ‘Storm Lasgun’ doesn’t obscure him quite so much, and that I’d made more effort with the hanging hook for Myrtle’s reliquary.  That aside, I’m pretty pleased with how they came out.

(These now bring my figures painted to 13 this year, against 24 brought so far [courtesy of the Colony 87 KS delivering] - with the new Kill Team box in the post and Necromunda Ash Wastes coming later, I fear I may finish this year with a significant deficit in my painted Vs brought figures.)

Sorry, real life dragged me away from hobby-related internetting.  Thank-you for the nice comments.  This is one of those rare instances where my hobbying skills and bits box inspiration have lived up to the vague conversion aspiration in my head.
