Great idea on the halfling/servo skull kind of reminds me of the servants of the vampire in van helsing?

Thank-you all.

Thanks, I'm not familiar with the Van Helsing TV series, I wasn't conscious of any inspiration for him (although there's undoubtedly some sub-conscious inspiration at work) - it was more a case of making something gribbly and grimdark (well, at least as gribbly and grimdark as my relatively bright and clean painting style will permit).

Lovely additions to the menagerie!
I really like what you did with the Ambull.
 :-* :-*

You shame me by posting those Squirrels as I still not got any further than my Grox from my own Flora and Fauna haul....
 ::)
Thanks - it took a couple of goes to get the right skin/carapace contrast on the ambull - after getting as far as trying several ways to do the carapace, I ended up having to redo the skin.  (I'm slowly chipping away at my F&F haul; I didn't go all in, so only have three globrats left, which I'll do to accompany some Necromunda marketplace terrain later in the year.)

Best band name of 2022.

Ah, I've seen that a while ago, but have no recollection of the vampire's servants in it.

Even that's not jogged my memory, I've got absolutely no recollection of them.   ;)

Meanwhile, I've painted some more critters: Ryakans and Warp Hounds for use as NPC complications in Stargrave, and in wider Inq28 gaming as required (the Warp Hounds are possibly a bit exotic for the underhive, but the Ryakans will fit right in).  The Figures are Reaper, and the doggies are huge (they’re on 40mm bases).  It’s not massively obvious in the photo, but the Warp Hounds are in the translucent Bones resin and I’ve kept some of that translucency for their skin, I’m quite pleased with how it came out.

May I present a Smuggler’s Shore Party: Amanda Lorien the Cold Trader, Bad Alice the Bosun, and Chunk and Sloth the Void Born Scum.

This started when I was given a surplus pair of Malifaux Executioners by a friend; originally I thought they’d make great generic gene-hanced ‘muscle’ or servitors, but then some chat about starting a Necromunda campaign at my local club prompted the realisation that they’d be spot on for a brace of Void Born Scum. After that, a rummage through my lead pile yielded a suitable Cold Trader (Heresylab) and Bosun (Hasslefree).  All required a bit of converting, with the Void Born Scum receiving some Goliath guns (and an arm), bionic legs from some Wild West Exodus robodogs that I got free with a magazine a while back, and the spare head from the Blackstone Fortress Chaos Ogryn. The Cold Trader got some Dark Eldar arms, a knife-wielding hand and a shuriken catapult (sling gun), and the Bosun got an Anvil shotgun and a Statuesque head.

The guy on the far right looks like a wrestler who had to get into more dangerous work to earn a living  :)

I saw a post on another forum referencing Demented Games steampunk line that make me think about your thread.  Have a look at their catalogue.  There is a bunch of stuff that would easily fit in the grim-dark universe.

They are based in Australia so there is that, but they have nice figures.

lol lol lol  Necromunda wrestling - that's a whole new mini-game, or at the very least an interestingly themed gang.

Looking at the catalogue, it turns out I got a few of their figures years ago for VSF gaming,* but I've totally overlooked their obvious 40K potential - thanks for the pointer.

* In fact, one of them (Zara Craft) is on page 2 of this thread.

Some Stargrave loot tokens.  Having made my first batch a few months ago, I was awaiting the latest Colony 87 Kickstarter, which included some little objective items that make great loot tokens.  Whilst I’d planned to use all the items, I ended up keeping a couple of them back to incorporate into my Necromunda marketplace when I get around to it.  I bulked the C87 bits out with some assorted gubbins from my bits box to give me a total of five each data and physical loot tokens.  Whilst I’ve gone for items that are (somewhat) intuitively either data or physical in nature, I’ve used different floor surfaces on the bases (tread plate and rockcrete respectively) to aid easy differentiation.  They will also work for objectives in other games, and the little robot could even serve as an NPC if required (Be-boop).
