What's the history of the style of bayonet drill these minis use?  Does that shoulder high attack style have a name ?  I know early style of bayonet fighting was based on using pikes, but I don't know any details.

Will these fit with Foundry SYW Brits? I have half Foundry and half Crusader right now but I'm not thrilled with the size of the Crusader figures TBO.
Thanks,Pete

Found this pic, looks like a good match to me.

That's right, direct develpment from pike drill, on the left: "Charge Your Bayonet" on the right, the follow up on contact with the enemy is "Push Your Bayonet". This was THE bayonet fighting technique of the period, only replaced by the later more familiar one with the changes of drill and uniform of the mid 1760s, although there is a mention of a battalion being ordered to hold the musket by the neck with the right hand at Quebec in 1759. It looks strange to those unfamiliar with it, but is surprisingly effective, especially in line - which was what it was designed for, and extends the reach considerably. I hope that helps?

Cheers,
Lance

Cuba, Marco, a place I would like to visit before it becomes too "Westernised"  :)

Lance,

this is the main reason I decided for Cuba! 8)
When I'll be back I'll keep an eye to your kickstarter.

Ciao!

Getting very excited about these. Are you going to do a colour party/standard bearers within the command packs?

I am sure you will reveal all in good time, but I can't wait lol

Here you go, my first pair of ensigns (sorry the pictures come out a bit big) - I've been stocking the Flags of War colours for the period for a long time now without anyone to carry them  :D
I must think of a way to incorporate a choice of flags alongside the KS for those who want them.  ;)

Love the ensigns.

What other poses do you have planned for the rank and file?
