My 20's Kults/Lurkers and Threshold Teams and some AARs
« on: July 13, 2016, 03:27:01 AM »
As you all are probably aware, the Wild West has been my period for a long time.  I finally finished off painting three 20's investigators (one is actually ported from my western theme but I feel she suits the theme.  I am no longer a good painter at all, but I like what I was able to do with these three.

I would like you to meet the team of Harry and the Hendersons.

From left to right: Reginald Henderson, Sally (Sassy) Henderson and their trustworthy butler Harry Taylor.

I will be using these three to introduce a number of gents here in Hamilton to the great game of Strange Aeons tomorrow evening.

 :)

The team had their first set of games the other week at the Hamilton Table Top Gamers meeting.  I introduced SA to about 10 players whom all had a good time playing and learning this great game.  The group's organizer has contacted me that based on my description of UK and the hands-on game play with SA, there has been a lot of talk within the group about starting a UK campaign.  The SA games we played were only starter games (15 BPs),  This comming Wednesday, I will be running a UK scenario (40 BPs) so that the group can get a taste of this. I have been madly trying to finish off painting the Kookie Kultists for this.

Oh, the team won 2 of the 4 games they were involved in.  I ran two scenarios side by side and the 2nd one was with my Western heros. This time, I will make sure that my camera's battery is charged so I will be able to take pictures.

I really enjoyed painting him up.  He is a very charismatic sculpt.  I eagerly await getting the "Hybrid" version of him to join in with the High Seas Hybrid Cult.  ;)

It is one of Paul's (Mason) special sculpts from Blind Beggar Miniatures. Paul named him "Reggie".

Arnies Kookie Kultists

The clan gathers in preparation for their first foray (tomorrow evening) to recover a relic in the next township.

The Adventure Begins

Grand Elder Arnie was flabergasted at the news that his cousin's clan in the next township over had been completely captured or killed by the government forces that raided their clan home last week.  Cousin Alister's clan had some important scrolls and a sacred idol that Arnie knew those government forces would not most likely have found and they needed to be retrieved. So he gathered a group of his family members and they boarded the horse-drawn wagon and were off.

The Acolyte rushed in to Grand Master Oliver's office with the report of the police's action on the elimination of the backwoods cult in the hills area about a hundred miles from their city.  Oliver summoned the men that were there and said they would be off to find the relics of the cult for their cult's and god's glory.  The men went down to the garage and were off on the journey of  acquisition.

The scenario's board shown in the pics.  Oliver's Arcane Seekers Cult has arrived

Oliver's Cult arrives to find the entryway blockaded with Rocks. They disembark from their vehicles and Oliver senses that some opposition is arriving from the South. (Pic 1)

Arnie's Cult arrives by the backroad and hop off the wagon. They quickly move towards the burned buildings of his Cousin. Arnie sees the cars out by the roadside and yells out to his family members to be careful. (Pic 2)

emptied out. Pics. 2 and 3

Herman's group move closer to the house while Benjamin and his cultist move along the right.  Oliver casts the "Touch of Death spell on himself and then moved forwards as well. Pic. 4 and 5.
