Giant Tortoise Sculpt (Tortoise complete)
« on: July 16, 2016, 04:03:56 AM »
So I have been wanting a pack animal of some sort and thought a tortoise would fit the bill nicely. Pondorous and slow moving. I've also been thinking about creating a whole baggage train of these guys and including some snails mounted as knights atop them for a laugh, I doubt I'll get that far though.

Here's the giant guy next to a knight.

Pretty happy so far with it. Not much left to go, just the head, underside of shell and the skin between the front legs and between the back legs. And the tail (Sounds like alot but should just be 1 more session of sculpting, maybe an hour or so work)

I'll cast it in a 1 piece mold which should work really well I think without any undercuts on it.

Looking good so far - will be nice to see a whole caravan of these.
