Nice purple background, is that like your artistic trandmark now? :P

Once again very nice whites. I struggle to get depth in painting whites and it normally ends up just looking dirty.

I spraypaint white, black thin wash (Citadel Nuln Oil, very good, has a smidgen of red in it). Be sure to use flow improver ( I use Windsor). Use liberal amounts of wash and make sure I work it into all crevices and folds. Wipe off excesses and let dry ( home made EazyBake oven). I use a Andrea Paints white pallet and use three successive hilites: limestone white, bone and titanium white.

No. :-) It is actually black paper. It's the suboptimal bulbs I use which turn it purple. I should get yellow daylight bulbs instead. So many god damn parameters to photography.

Thank you for that, I think it's the highlight build up that I'm not getting right.

Now, I am going to admit, I straight have no idea if the yellow wellingtons are period.  I tried to check - and I found admissions that they existed, but not that anyone ever made them outside of the US, and even then if it was this time period or later.  I just found them amusing, and, while I plan on using him for multiple periods (BoB, Pulp, Post-Apoc, WWW2), I am not overwhelmingly concerned, but I hope I don't offend anyone's sensibilities.

In the meantime, Skull Island awaits!
