'cheap' trains for the wild-west
« on: 10 August 2016, 11:44:51 AM »
Hello Folks,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap toy trains, suitable for old west gaming, on the market in the UK at the moment? Most of the threads with toys in are fairly old, so I'm not sure if the items are still available. I've been digging through eBay and the like trying to match products with old pictures from various threads, but that's not been all that successful lol

Have a look in B&M and Poundstretchers if you have any local. I saw one in B&M recently, although I can't remember if it was old west or not.

It's also worth checking Amazon for toy train sets, as there are usually some on there

And you generally get more of them in the run up to Christmas.
So that will probably be anytime in the next fortnight :~}

I was in B&M today, and there, on the shelf, was a steam train set. They have it online - http://www.bmstores.co.uk/products/giant-classical-train-set-293575

£14.99 for one, £20.00 for two

It looked slightly overscale, but nothing dramatic. The fuel tank thing is a bit out of period ;D, but the rest looks useful
