18th Century Naval Crew (New Stuff 18th August)
« on: August 15, 2016, 10:34:12 AM »

Salty Sea Dogs! 28mm metal miniatures from North Star, one of the sets designed to be used with Osprey's "On the Seven Seas" rules. I recently finished two of these sets and some other 18th Century types which will appear in a future post.
I used a bronzed flesh triad on these figures to show that they had been out in the sun for a while.

Cheers,
John.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, here's some more crew members:

More of the characterful miniatures in 28mm from North Star - "Royal Navy Crew" boxed set. These were great fun to paint, and I'm sure they will give pirates a run for their money. The  "AR" on the marine's mitres puts them in the time of Queen Anne. I like the spiffy outfit of Marine Lieutenant John Wittington and his wig. Huzzah!

Very nice work. If I didn't already have 200 or so pirates, redcoats etc, I'd be getting some of these very nice miniatures  :(
Well done on the paintwork. Just right.
