Thanks Tom  :)

Got the main building roof structure sorted now.

And here's a couple of shots in situ...

I'll hopefully get the tower timbered tonight.

cheers

This is looking very good.

Do you mind me asking how you did the tiles on the first build, they look to be strips partly cut through. Did you make them or are they commercial?

Same question for the rounded tiles down the edges of the roof.

The roof on the tower is going to be spectacular, did you calculate the angles or trial and error to get the fit?

Cheers

Thank you  :)

The tiles are commercial and from here at the bottom http://www.oshiromodelterrain.co.uk/victorianbuildings.html send me an email though if you're after some. I can do custom tiles as well  :)

The tower roof was trail and error but I managed to get it right first time (practise mainly).

cheers

James, it is good work. Maybe you should make mounds and do it in resin...

Why do you have to make it all look so so easy? Great work!

Many thanks for the replies gents  :)

Maybe you should make mounds and do it in resin...

 lol Not a chance  ;D

Got some paint onto the main building and there's a couple of photos of the masking process which (to me at any rate) is more preferable than hand painting. There's still some weathering and shading to do but that'll be done when it's all together.

And here's with the paint on and masking off  :)

There's still a few 'build' elements to go on, such as steps to doors and remaining timbering etc but the main build work is complete.

cheers

James
