I've been cracking on with those Crusader Miniatures WWII Germans I received from North Star Military Figures a couple of weeks ago and the first thirty are ready for action, just another 30 of these and a similar amount of Soviets and I can crack on with playing some Chain of Command

More work on the Fall Blau project sees another 14 Germans join the platoon including a veteran Leutnant and a tripod-mounted MG-34 in support.

Only 12 Germans left to paint and then it's on to the Ruskies. They are coming on holiday with me next week and I shall start blocking in the base-coats.

Beautiful, you don't seem to see many large formations of well painted feldgrau Germans, everyone seems obsessed with painting camouflage pattern smocks in as many varieties as possible these days. A nicely done force of early war can have just as much visual impact IMO.  :) Can't wait to see the Russians.

OK!

Cool. I have that wash too, but found it to dry in a very very thick blotchy way. Do you dilute it or something?

The new additions look splendid!

I just give the tub a good stir, brush the wash on neat, blow off any excess and then tab the figure on my workbench to disperse any bubbles or pooling.

Thank you.

I've finished the first 13 Soviets for my Eastern Front project.

Lovely figures from The Assault Group.
