Sewing pins. I would drill a pilot hole, and then use a thimble to push it into place.

  Nice. I saw what appeared to be holes prior to asking. A nice move, as it gives the plating extra support. Very clever. Thanks for the answer.

  By 'sabre saw', you're talking about a handheld reciprocating saw, right? What blade are you using to cut the foam with? And where can I get the foam? A sign supply store?

I actually have one that is a tabletop reciprocating model, so it is easier to work with. HDU Foam is usually avaiable at sign shops and suppliers of same - brand names would be Precision Board, SignFoam, and Corafoam. Google 'em - heck, you might even be able to talk them into sending you samples.

I am holding off on working on it until my stimulus package shows up, so I can mount the guns and then finish painting it. Glad to see you are watching, though - and I am designing an even larger one right now.

Well, the guns from Revisresco are here, and let the painting begin!

Here, we have a side view, fully armed. I made the guns removable, so that I can switch should I need to, and as importantly, spin them on the axis.



Here is a close-up of the 6" cannon. I love this beast. Apologies for the lack of focus - I could not get it to be any better.



Here we have the wonderful Philomena Cartwright (a Pulp Figures Heroine I painted for one of my wife's RPG characters) giving us an idea of scale.



Now off to slap some more paint on this beastie!

Did you say which flag it is going to fly under? Its got to be British because otherwise my poor wee thing would not stand a chance against it. (Not that they are likely to meet, big ocean and all that!)

The easiest way to get a better pic of that cannon, is to have the camera further away, probably about 30cm. You'll notice everything in the background is properly focused. To get the final picture the same as the others, turn the quality setting of the camera up for that shot. It'll probably come out bigger, but you can crop it down to the bit you want.
