Home Bargains in the UK doing a sale on 1/48 models.
« on: 26 September 2016, 01:46:56 PM »
It seems that Home Bargains is doing a sale on some Lindberg 1/48 ( early American jet fighters) and 1/72 models ( a range of German late-war jet fighters and bombers)

Due to the kindness and help of some Lafers I've bought some of them. But I'm still interested in this one, if anyone can find it ;)

Thanks in advance!

I saw your post just as I was leaving work so didn't have time to pm.  I called in HB on my way home and bought all the 1/48th kits they had.  I am more than happy to keep them for myself so no problem if you don't want them but they are yours if you do.  I got one each of
F11F Tiger
F-86A Sabre
F4U-5N Corsair

the only others they had were a couple of 1/72nd, a 1/32nd Geebee racer and a dinosaur.

My public thanks to Svennn, who helped me out.

I'm still interested in another F11 and the X3 stilleto. The last one is to do something similar to this ;)

Updated the topic. The price scalping has already started on Ebay.

Seems strange to see so many Lindberg 1/48 kits popping up when they were so hard to find some weeks ago  :?

Sorry - nothing in my local store either.

Thanks for trying. It seems the kits are flying off the shelves. Lots of members of the Bolt Action facebook group are reporting the same thing. Or maybe some stores didn't even receive them..

Detracting from the original topic somewhat, you've peaked my interest with that Blake and Mortimer comic  8)

That trilogy is great. And if you like it (btw, in English it's "The Secret of the Swordfish") I can also recommend the "Plutarch's Staff" which is a prequel and "The Strange Encounter", which is a sequel.

That happens a lot with stuff like this. There's another store near my work so I'll try and check there too.

This is why LAF is really the best miniatures forum in the world. Due to all the help I got here, I bought all the models I wanted (ok, except for one but I don't know if it was available or not). My public thanks to anyone who helped me!

I've amended the original post to reflect that.
