Dixon Miniatures gangsters

They don't look great to me on the Website.   

But then abbot_amaury has painted them and they look great 

They also appear to fit well with Copplestone.

Please confirm or deny this if you have them/have seen them and tell me about the quality.

I am planning a small painting project where the Dixon "Down and Outs" would fit.  Other figures will be Pulp and Copplestone...

If you pick and choose from within the range there are some very nice figures.  I really like the one in long trenchcoat, wide brimmed fedora and Tommy gun pointing to the floor in his right hand. A gorgeous figure in my opinion.

I would freely mix and match them in with Pulp and Copplestone, but be careful with which ones I bought.

I was thinking of the pack with that figure.
And the Bonnie and Clyde and - quite specific for my "Project" the "Down and Outs."  None of which look like much on the Website.

I've got the police set (and have just ordered 'down and outs'). I use them with Copplestones and they work fine together. However many of the firearms are horrible, if you do buy some you may want to replace the pistols.
The figures are better than they look on the website...

I picked up the Police set and the Truck with Bootleggers at the York show (as Trevor's stand was behind mine) and I think their nice miniatures and fut in well with Copplestone's

have to take a look I did not know they made gangsters.Ive been looking for some for 1930's gangland games right now I have some of the tsr gangbusters minis.I ve been looking at copplestone,pulp figures,blue moon,and even rafm.Any others out there?

took a look the dixons are 25mm so I think they well go with my tsr stuff but I do have 28mm and I am heading in that diriction so the brigade games stuff looks great for the price.thanks again orktrader

I tend to like other ranges better than Dixon, however, they are having a huge sale here: http://wargamesminis.com/   - all foot figures are 99 cents each, and I bought longhorn cattle for $1.40 each.  It's hard to argue with those kind of prices.

I've got some along with my (mainly) Copplestone stuff. A reasonable size match and not too bad "in the flesh". I don't go for all the Dixon figures - too many figures down on their backside for one thing - but the Down & Outs lurk in the corner of my gangster games waylaying unsuspecting passers-by with their "Buddy can you spare a dime" and generally getting in the way of a good plan.
