I think it's adorable you consider that a small room. My entire condo is only 525sft.

You have a dream space!

A panther throw before the fireplace upon which your afghans hounds may lounge while their master is exercising his leisurely activities.

well, yeah.  But I don't think he need the obvious stated.

My game room is about the same size, maybe a smidgeon larger and when like last night we have six people between two tables it feels an a bit too cozy.

My two bikes take up my dining area. I don't even have that. Lol.

Thanks for all the reply's.  I am more of a painter than a gamer but I am still going to have a table , because I like to display things, Right now I have been designing things and changing my mind on a daily bases. There are 2 closets being put in, the laundry is being moved to a dedicated room that will also have a new walkin pantry (so lot of the thing stored in what will become my hobby room will be moved there and that might be a place to put a small fridge and such) a TV would be good but just hooked up to a DVD player be cause I don't want to pay for more cable, the spray booth is something I might consider and will see if I can work it in.  The other half of the basement I think I am leaving unfinished and will still have storage.  Thanks for all the info and Ill keep you posted.

I would add a couple of points.

1 - Vinyl Flooring as it is much easier to keep clean and spilt paint can be wiped off; (easier to find dropped items as well).

2 - Music (or talking books), I find that I can 'loose myself' when down the shed, painting miniatures and listening to music or talking books.

3 - Good if not perfect lighting, by this I mean Day Light Bulbs or Blue Light.

4 - Heating, it is much better to be too warm than have the water in your brush cleaning jar freeze.

I hope that these help.
