Project Z - Spec Ops Compound Deal

An absurdly good deal here - over 138 USD MSRP in figs before you even get to the scenery and Humvee. Certainly already pre-ordered mine!

Just got that email myself. Not a bas deal at all. As far as I can see no details on the hummer as to if it's a new or existing kit. Anyone know before I commit to buying two?

Ad copy states: "with new missions and scenarios dedicated to the elite Spec Ops themselves - including their new Humvee!" That could mean the Humvee will be eventually be available as a separate release as part of the Spec Ops "army list." AFAIK WLG have never made a Humvee before. But they have a storied history of buying existing sculpts so that could be the case here. I have no idea if this was part of what they purchased from WGF but I bet this is resin and I don't believe WGF dealt in that material.

Yeah, I've emailed to ask the question. It looks new but who knows for sure?

Looks like a different gunner going from the MG ammo box, but could be.

I cracked and ordered anyway as it's so stupidly cheap. Well over £150 of stuff.

I caved too, ordered a set with the 2nd vehicle. Not interested in the Project Z rules, but it was a good deal for all the models.

Will probably be added to the pile for now. Im still trying to finish up my AQMF stuff.

This is a great deal, and I'm pleased to see that the compound is available for pre-order without all the Project Z stuff.

I think £50 is doable for the amount of kit, and the number of games you could play on it is just daft - Superheroes, Dr Who, Geezers, Cold War Gone Hot, spy-fi, anything set after the 1960s really...

Very tempted by this, even though I'd never play anything on it!  ;D

You could buy the deal with the figures and probably make an overall profit by flogging what you don't want. Sixty quid of plastic minis, thirtyish of metal and £15+ for the hummer at full retail. Even after postage, ebay and paypal you'd clear about £50 if you could find the time.

Just to big up Warlord's customer service I received a 15% off voucher after I'd ordered this and they cancelled my first order and allowed me to use the voucher.
