German armored fighting suits
« on: December 03, 2016, 12:58:09 AM »

Larger than its supposed to be, but hopefully recognizable to anyone familiar with the Ma.K. universe.  Trying to make a PKA Heinrich to run as a heavy armored fighting suit or light Walker in K47.  Will post progress shots as progress happens... Thanks for looking.
Remember the patina!

At first, I thought they were plastic eggs, but those are 'copter models? Brilliant!  :-*

Are you using 1/48 helis as a basis for the suits? Or 1/72?

Great work so far, and that Ma.K. build is fantastic!  8)

Care to share your parts list for the most recent build?

Look at the one next to the Micron. I'm thinking 1/100 or smaller.

Hey all, thanks for all the enthusiasm!  Parts list so far...1/35 melamine armored fighting suit.  It's a Stahl Democratic republic suit from the Ma.K. universe,. Hasawagawa makes a hard plastic one, but you are more likely to get the cheapo plastic trading kit, available on hobby link Japan.  www.hlj.com

1/72 italeri ah-6.

Random bits and bobs that I haven't figured out yet....   The arms, legs and plate armor are from the Ma.K kit, the hull if from the helo...need to detail the interior and add some stuff to the hull, but it should be pretty straight forward...will post more progress pics as progress happens... I have some random Gundam greeblies on the way from HLJ to build up the back and the interior, so I am waiting on the post man.....(or woman, post person?)

Nice!  Love the grosserhund!  I am a big Ma.K. builder, I have always loved the look of the Stahl AFS's but it's hard to get them in the right scale for gaming.  I would love to make some in 1/48, but I fear it is beyond my abilities.   :'(

for gaming, i would take in 1:35 scale. not the problem with the scratchbuilding.
here two shops they have the kits and the plastic collectible figures.

http://www.robotines.com/en/204-scale-1-35

robotines is in spain. you can write in english, no problem and they ship fast and shiping cost are ok.
my favotite when i order standard ma.k. kits in 1:20

http://www.coolkits.de/kits/mak-kits.html#3q_hornisse

willy from cool kits has a lot of standard and rare collectible stuff.
he is from my old hometown. ask him when you´re looking for some special stuff.
