Ships' boats
« on: December 17, 2016, 05:31:41 PM »
Does anyone make suitable ship's boats for the interwar period? Ideally I would like motor launch of the type that might be carried by a British or American warship.

Would any of these be of use?

Thanks, I had fogotten about the Ainsty offerings. The open top launch will probably be perfect for my needs :)

HLBS has a picket boat that was used by the  Royal Navy up to WW2 - they also have some Russian craft for the same period

Minimi have large and small motor launches in 28mm but of course do not seem to have solved their problems getting their products cast.

In 20mm Sgts Mess have a steam pinnace/picket boat which is the same vessel as the HLBS 28mm one

Ainsty have a sale on in December (20% off all orders £40 or over) so it might be a good time to order. No, I don't work for them!

I used Glencoes 1/48 US coastguard rescue boats for the two launches in this thread.

They carry about 10 figs each.

If the boats are for our joint project they are of course available to you.
