28mm Flakpanzer 38 (t) Conversion
« on: 30 December 2016, 05:24:29 AM »
Ready for paint. After finishing there's some things I'd do a touch differently if I did it again, but I don't need two, so I'm quite happy with this as a first ever conversion effort. More photos once I get the vehicle and crew painted and assembled. That may take me a while, the queue at the air brush station is getting pretty full.

This is a conversion of a Warlord Marder III combined with a Flak 38 gun. The gun is magnetized and removable for use on it's original base to get dual use out of it. I still have to paint it of course.

The real thing:

Thanks for all the kind words. It's been air brushed, so now I need to do all the detail painting, paint the crew and weather it. I'm a bit busy, so maybe 2-3 weeks to get it finished.

Looking good, but what's the object in the front row between the Kubel & the StuG?

That's the front cabin of a RSO-Pak 40 - scratch built conversion. Will be a separate topic here when completed. http://www.achtungpanzer.com/75cm-pak-404-auf-raupenschlepper-ost-selbstfahrlafette.htm
It's on magnets so it can swap with the un-armored cab of the RSO. The Pak-40 ATG is also magnetized. That's the transformer vehicle. Two-for-one with that one.

Update: OK I've come clean. Here's the separate thread on the vehicle: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=97388.msg1206493#msg1206493

As said, a nice looking conversion you have done there. I have to do one in 1/48, which is easier in terms of donor parts. One day....

Now Finished! For a ton more (and higher resolution) photos, please visit my blog here.

The gun is magnetized so it can be used on the original infantry base:
