My new 15mm webstore.
« on: 04 January 2017, 12:05:56 PM »
I made myself a new webstore for an experimental 15mm scale range for some daft reason:

https://www.freewebstore.org/15mm-scifi-by-ec/Uruks/cat4394659_3573532.aspx

What do people think? What else 15mm scale should I try my hand at?

They look great! Any chance of a size comparison to some other ranges?

Also, I second Starfleet being second! I have my Alien Enemies, now I just need some heroic jumpsuit types  ;)

Thanks. I don't have many other 15mm figs to compare size to... the Uruks are 15mm to the eyeline when standing up, shorter for the hunched over ones. The Goblins are 10mm to the eyeline.

Perfect - that'll do me!

They look very nice - how about some vehicles for them? And maybe some appropriate human opponents too? ;)

I'd like to do both. If the initial range sells well, I'll definitely invest in more releases in this scale / style.

Well, I'd imagine 6mm (er, maybe 8mm? ;) ) and 15mm would sell best for you - at least on the basis of compatibility with other games/miniatures ranges already out there. The issue with 10-12mm is that your market is much more limited. Of course, this is just me thinking off the top of my head based on what I've bought from you and others in the past.

I'm not making anything in "10-12mm" scale?

The Goblins are 10mm because they're shorter than the 15mm tall Uruks.

This is akin to 28mm scale Goblins only being ~18mm tall.

I have kinda thought about doing some 8mm chaps. :-)

Like the figures - hate the site - sorry  :o

Grey on black is not good - font hard as well.

Also remember under law you are required to detail your trading address and a cookie declaration (bet your cart uses them)  amongst other things. Have a look or chat with http://www.ukwda.org/blog/is-your-website-legal the page is an old one but a starting point.

Best figures for me is the ones with the "daft" swords - they look totally mad and suitable for mayhem...

I'd love to see this range expand (bigger 'nobles' and more poses, maybe some jetpacks), but after that I'd like to see some Diggas/Warboy style minis.

I know you're not; I'm simply pointing out that "established" scales will do much better, and that this sort of stuff should do well in 15mm as a result. :)
