Pallets - useful for 28mm scale
« on: 23 January 2017, 08:48:08 PM »
This could actually go in conflicts-in-from-the-cold or scifi, but I guess it fits the PA theme best.

I had been eyeing the Siku 1:50ish vehicles for some time, and finally ordered three from Amazon; I usually ignore the recommendations for more purchases, but I'm glad I didn't this time: the forklift comes with a couple of plastic pallets to carry around, and it turns out you can buy a whole bag of 50 of these - and I did. A bit small for heroic figures, but ok for those closer to 28mm, or in the case of heroics it could be a small pallet.

Here's a pic of the forklift, two of the pallets with a somewhat anachronistic Foundry soldier kneeling behind a pallet for cover, and in the background the bag - which wasn't expensive either, just £10.69 for 50 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Siku-Farmer-50-Yellow-Pallets/dp/B0002HX9I6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485204388&sr=8-1&keywords=siku+pallets.  Granted, if you need one or two it's cheaper to fabricate them, but for large numbers....

My bitzbox is filled with 100 or 200 of them. They find a use in any scenario on any Table.

Good find. I have that forklift myself, I think mine only came with a single pallet.

Great find! Thanks, I just ordered them and they are even cheaper in my country, less than 6GBP with free domestic shipping :).

A while ago I managed to pick of 2 bags of these for a couple of euro's each in a clearance sale. Probably the best wargaming buy I ever did.
