No temptation to use skips as bases?

It's hard to but I think I'll pass on that  ;D

Very interesting project. I’m following it closely ;)

Will the base on your terrain be made with red earth shades?

Steve, I think you are wrong with Palmstrees. Found a lot of Vietnam-Pictures showing normal broadleaf trees. So, some Palmtrees and the rest broadeaf trees is also ok.

Sorry, yeah, I haven't communicated that very well. I've got broadleaf trees too.  :)

Thanks  :)

No red earth (clay) I'm afraid. I'm also using my The North terrain as the basis for the secondary jungle (see broadleaf trees above) so I'm matching the ground colour, which is more of a burnt umber.

If you imagine palm trees/bamboo/etc among that lot (I'm hoping) it's going to be something close to the Platoon screenshot (above) of Elias being chased down by the ruined church.

 :)

The minis (so far) are almost finished, pretty much just varnish and veg to do.

Thanks Tom and yes, single images when they're fully finished.

A word of warning though, they are quite flat PJs as very few highlights on webbing, rifles, etc. It just seemed more suited for a jungle environment that the minis didn't massively 'pop'. Hope that makes sense. I won't know for sure until I get them on the table but if I'm wrong I guess I can always add more paint later.

You been watching that Heston Blumenthal again?
Seconds thought, probably best that you dont as that could be dangerous the way your mind works!

Thanks chaps  :D. Though the benefit of photos was again proven as during sculpting and painting I'd failed to notice something weird about the VC sniper's right arm. An advantage of plastics then being that I could reshape it, slap paint on and after a quick blast with the hairdryer shove it straight back into the varnish queue.

Paul: on the subject of fusion etc, it's off topic but I think I've finally found the basis for my 'feudal' PA project.... The 100. It will use this terrain and also the Project Z survivor minis from which the M16s and AK47s for this project were gleaned.  8)

I have somehow managed to miss this thread until now. What a spectacle this is. It looks brilliant.

Now you need to extend your board with a river wide enough for a river monitor so sail up. And small VC village with a beach that is safe to surf.

I am looking forward to that, when you have time to get back to it, that is.

Oh, and be careful: It looks like the Evil Doctor is trying to encourage you to build yet more stuff for this....
