Hi Mick,

I'm pretty sure that you could lump 6 - 15mm all in one guide if you are using 'mixes', with a note about lighter final highlight colours being useful for the smaller scales. IMHO (for what it's worth), smaller (micro) scale figures are more generally improved by the quality and shade of basing than figure painting; vehicles, on the other hand, require much clearer shading to bring out the detail - so they 'pop' at a reasonable viewing distance.
