A great update.
Am excited about the 1/50 scale T-62.
Looks like another Black Hawk Down book.
I see it is put out by Osprey.
Have you had time to read it yet?
If so, what do you think of it?

PS
Just read some reviews about the book.
I went ahead and ordered it.

Have you read that new book covering a Brit going to fight with the Kurds in Syria against ISIS? "Desert Sniper: How One Ordinary Brit Went to War Against ISIS". It seems up the same alley as Day of the Rangers, and well if you have read I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions before I pick one up. :)

Tsk, and the only correct thing to do with that Churchill is to buy a second one and turn it into a Black Prince. ...Though my time doing alternative history WWII in 1/56th scale may have tainted my opinion somewhat. ;)

I wonder if Spectre will do a Chinese APC (preferably something like the Type 63).

Quite possibly - I know they had some interesting vehicles on the docket.

I haven't yet got round to reading much of it, but what I have read is really good!

It's on my list of things to read (anything Forgotten Weapons recommends and is in kindle ends up in the pile)

Buy a second one? I need to get at least two more to build a platoon, maybe another for AVRE duty and then before you know it I'm buried under a pile of them!

A new battle report has gone up for the game I played on Thursday. Back to Bazistan, with the US-SF and local partners moving to evac some MARSOC troops and destroy the intel before the local militia can get their hands on it.

I had the pleasure of commanding the local rebels and the mercenaries.   It was very different from the other games we've played in that for once I had decent troops that could actually compete in a stand up fight instead of relying on ambush tactics.   I sent the dross to act as speedbumps on the flanks as I realised turn one I could get he mercs into position to snatch the Intel from the Humvee before help arrived to the stranded soldiers.  This really surprised Mike as I'm not normally tgat aggressive.  If the US troops had made a fight of it I might have been in trouble but the smoke grenades did their job beautifully blocking LOS.  The fluke grenade and RPG were icing on the cake.

I think both players managed to roll 100 and fumble at least once but oh that 001 was so sweet.  I was worried right up until the end and breathed a huge sigh of relief when it was all over.  I hardly fired a shot tbh but had to think constantly.   It's a very different system but I do like it.  I look forward to more mystery men shenanigans next month.

More interested in the Puma, it will mean my Modern Bundeswehr will not have to walk everywhere.

Interesting about the HMMWV replacement, that is also on the British Army's potential shopping list.

What I would really like is an Eagle V. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mowag_Eagle

That would be awesome. And more fitting for small unit skirmish games. Where the big armoured vehicles are extremely dominating.

I can see your point.

As the Boxer is back on the British Army's wish list again, that would be nice.
