I will go to Salute for the first time.

Can somebody tell me which halls will be for Salute.

The Excel Website lists a Sewing Exhibition for that weekend but does not list anything about Salute.

It's always next to the London Marathon registration....and you can spot the wargamers from miles away so no worries
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

If the other events are sewing and marathon, it's not going to be tricky to work out which punters are headed for Salute.  :)

I've never been to any wargaming shows. are there ever any in/near cheshire?

Britcon in Manchester- mostly a competition event with a few trade stands and Phalanx in St. Helens  are probably the nearest.

I wonder what new toys will be available this year, especially in plastic... ;D
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Folks check your route before you go - the usual stop for EXCEL - Custom House is closed for refurb work until Dec 2017

What is the alternative?

The line is running but station is closed - guess that means getting off stop before or after and walking

Custom House may be closed but if you just stay on the DLR and get off at the next stop which is Prince Regent, it is at the other end of the ExCeL Centre and you just go in the East entrance instead of Custom House at the West entrance.

I am thinking of making myself a conspicuous LAF badge to mark myself out as one of the members of this deranged esteemed forum.  I will be on my own so please stop me and say hello.
