Some shots from Tactica of Hamburg, 2009
« on: February 28, 2009, 10:42:10 PM »
Hi folks,

just returned from Hamburg, having visited the awesome Tactica convention once again after being foiled last year by a nasty virus and living in the UK next year. All in all, six hours of driving, but well worth it to meet a whole herd of nice folks, spend too much (although entirely within my budget) on resin scenery and some figures, and generally having a blast of a time. We demo´d "Triumph and Tragedy" with a Spanish Civil War "Junkers Down" scenario.

I only took a small number of pictures of my favourites since I´m convinced the organisers and other, more prolific photographers will soon publish more and better pictures of all the lovely tables.

Who was the lunatic genius that made this fine piece of scenery and is he for hire for the next 25 years?

Having attended myself I have to say it's the one convention you have to see if living between Kobenhavn and Frankfurt or even further

Thankyou for sharing your photos.

What scale was the WWII beach assault?

From what I gathered, 15mm. I´m not a fan of that scale, but this display was positively stunning.

Helen,

the beach assault was D-Day Landing Sword Beach. Rapid Fire Szenario in 15 mm. The table was over 3 metres long and I think 1,5 metres deep. Green Knight from this forum did the game and he build the whole table.

Cheers

Greetings
Rapid Fire Szenario in 15 mm.

My apologies. I got that one wrong. I stand corrected. It is still a stunning 15mm piece of work no matter if built for Rapid Fire or FoW
