Black Scorpion - Tombstone

Black Scorpion are finally hitting kickstarter for their Wild West Game Tombstone. Confirmed to start on April 5. They are showing sculpts on their FB.

Another thing I'd have been interested in...in metal.  I love my metal BS figures but I won't be sending them any more money (I find Knuckleduster to be on par if not better - and (gasp!) metal).  Swing and a miss.  Be curious to see if the game is any good though.

I have been waiting impatiently for this Kickstarter, and I really like the looks of the outlaws he is previewing.

I am just moving into Western miniatures, and so far Black Scorpion is my favorite range.  I have some Knuckleduster figures, and they seem to vary widely in quality (I expect some are more  modern sculpts than others).

Here's hoping the female faction didn't all shop for their outfits at Frederick's of Deadwood.

I had that same concern, but hopefully they'll all look more like this.

As I already mentioned in my thread, I'm in agreement with the resin resistance.  Such a shame they insist on using this soulless medium....no weight, no feeling and prone to breakage.  I was lucky to get most of my Black Scorpion when they were still metal.

That means I can only limit myself to the odd figure, namely with solid shotguns etc.  Pistols are just too brittle.

The one fellow I do want is the little fat guy riding his burro top right in this picture.

I like the guy holding the saloon girl hostage

As I have said before, if I like a figure, I buy it.  Don't care if it is metal, plastic or resin.

The one thing I do not care for is fiddly multi-part metal figures.

Hopefully we will see a new update today.

Amazing miniatures, already commented on facebook.

I have a few of the pirate dwarves by Black Scorpion here with their new resin formula and can't say anything negative about it. Price is fine, casting is properly done.

This kickstarter could really be something, I'm currently just unsure, as I already own a proper lot of western miniatures by Artizan and Foundry and they are noticeably smaller than the Black Scorpion range.

+1

I already have a lot of Old West stuff and the BS stuff is sort of it's own very large scale, isn't it?  I seem to remember putting it next to my foundry stuff and thinking it looked like a totally different scale.  Do  like the sculpts very much though.

They are large compared to Foundry and similarly-sized figures.  They mix well with the Western figures in Reaper's Chronoscope range.
