Dezmond's Strange Aeons
« on: 07 April 2017, 01:30:18 PM »
UK themed agents:-

I see them as a tommy gun wielding Toff, his nephew (with tin hat and tommy gun), faithful manservant (with turban and sword) and two former privates who served with the character in his days as an officer on the Western Front and who he has now called on to hunt monsters

The Elder Things are paper models from

http://scarecrovv.deviantart.com/art/Elder-Thing-and-Investigators-143171250

I like them not just because they are cheap but because they stand erect on their legs and the model is modular so you can assemble them with different combinations of wings and arms furled or extended

Cultists!

For robe colours I intend to go with Classic Black for my line cultists and Red for leaders with High Priests in purple. Largely because those are the colours the cultists wore in Resident Evil 4

Kindred!

Representatives of the degenerate pagan tribes who have worshipped Yog Sothoth deep in the great forests of Britain since long before the days of Rome.

Foundry Satyrs, which seemed appropriate for goatlike mutants of Whatley ilk. Eureka minis have some as well.

The do seem very appropriate as they are more 'human' in aspect than some.
A good choice.
They work well.

I really like choice of figures.  Even the paper Elder Things were a good one because they seem unreal.  I like the background for your team.  Loking forward to seeing more.

I genuinely think they are nifty. I made those ones years ago but I rebased and varnished them to go with the others.

See, elder thing miniatures used to all be sitting with their body on the ground with limp tentacles spread out around them:-

But these were standing erect on their legs which I thought was way cooler:-

And they have this pleasingly angry expression. And you can assemble them with any number of arms and wings so the kit is pretty versatile. They were the best elder thing minis available when I made them! Far more menacing and practical looking than any proper ones you could buy!

.

...

..

Well I liked them anyway.

Lovely paintjobs on the Threshold & Lurker minis - the card Elder Things are very effective.
