Thanks, Malamute! Great to see you here!

Although I haven't taken my usual pictures with my terrain (or written any backstories), I am actually finished with the Lander paintjob (perhaps I'll add another WH40K waterslide transfer), and I want to share it!

Thank you all!

oh man that turned out spectacular!  Your greebling is perfect!

The part that I am most proud of is the use of the GZG doors and whatever was left after some cutting (although the electronics come at a close second place)

GZG doors by Oscar Falk, on Flickr

You see, these doors are really nice, but don't fit flush against the hull, so I had to remove the steps and add a piece of plasticard...

What to do with the steps? Can't just throw away that hunk of metal. Perhaps if I paint them, they can be used as something else...

Look! Spaceship engines!

Love the background and thinking behind the breacher.

I like the idea that particular factions own a ship. There were regular costs for owning a ship in a ruleset like 5 Parsecs (at least some iterations like Salvage Crewe). Though it was never said, I always assumed that the ship was how your crew got to a particular mission. Obviously, if two factions were involved, they wouldn't arrive on the same ship. Ships might serve as an exit point or the only way to flee combat (space hulk style starship crawlers, for instance).

Being that they could have such an interesting role in the game world (or universe), I always felt they should be tailored to the crew operating them. Of course, I have the storage space to be very particular  ;D

That lander is much larger than I originally thought it was. Seeing it next to the Peregrine puts her in scale.
