1920s Necromunda Variant?
« on: 07 March 2009, 12:05:59 AM »
Years ago, I vaguely recall that there was a variant for the Prohibition Era using Necromunda. I haven't been able to re-locate it.
Am I completely nuts (well, ok, that's already confirmed), or did I simply imagine this?

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Anybody have a handy copy?

There was one for Necromunda that only changed the names of the weapons and added vehicles. There is also a mod for Mordheim http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/mummy_mordheim/files/
The LotOW has some brief rules in one of the supplements.

Thanks for the plug, Cory.  The Mummy Mordheim group was originally supposed to be based on Mordheim (hence the name), but we ended up using LotOW with a couple of variant rules.  The group has been defunct for a couple of years now, but you can still dig out some of the rules that Dan and I developed, as well as a couple of game reports.  We developed the rules before "Showdown" came out, so there are some differences between our ideas and the ones that were published by GW.  Hope you find them of some use.

Kind regards

Will

Been thinking about that old group of ours as we keep getting requests for new members . Nothing has been posted there for quite a while.
I have just finished painting some Mummies for it but there seems no chance of using them . :'(

I often use Necromunda for all kinds of skirmish games, including 1920's gangsters. All that is really needed is some rules for SMG's, which are easy enough to come up with (I just use the Autogun with half ranges and sustained fire).
I told you so. You damned fools.
