Looks fantastic! Although I think you should dirty up the inside of the coal tender, given that it was full of.... well... coal.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Now that's some excellent work! Don't sell yourself short there! Great paintwork, especially on the engine.

Bloody brilliant, mate.
Lovely colours, should work really well with the rest of the set up.
 :-* :-*

Got another two kits turning up soon  :D

What to do with them though  ???

More trains?

How about a crashed version for when those dastardly Martians get up to a bit of derailing...?

Many, many thanks one and all  :)

Yes, I did that after posting with some inks and pastels as it kind of stood out on the posted photo above  lol

I have several ideas for more trains but I've got to be careful it doesn't turn into a model railway set up  lol

Whatever you do, between yourself, Michi, Constable Bertrand and all the other train builders on here, you will be putting me to shame....as I am just going to chuck some weathering on mine and move on........too much to do!

Lovely work on the paint job and weathering is great.
I have a bag of model rail coal that well.... looks like coal, would be idea for the tender.
The only small thing that jars a bit is the brass coloured chain for connecting the carriages. Maybe should be iron

Nice work James :)

I wouldn't want to be in the forward gun car if the crew fired that beast sideways!

Coals sorted and I'll be painting the brass chain. I thought I had some dark coloured stuff but alas, no  :(

I wouldn't want to be in the forward gun car if the crew fired that beast sideways!

It's mainly for clearing the track in front  :D

What colour did you use for the tender ad carriages?

Tamiya dark green spray. It looks awful just after spraying but dries nicely and is a good base after two coats.

cheers

I've actually finished some figure for a change  :D

Summer uniform as it can get quite warm on Mars  :)

The white was a spray base coat, inked and then the details were painted in as normal.

Got another five units worth of bare lead that might get the same treatment (including one unit of cavalry)

cheers

James
