Gladiatrix (updated 14.04.2013)
« on: April 01, 2013, 12:27:10 PM »
Hi all,

Meet Livia, gladiatrix. Finally finished painting her over the Easter weekend.

Here is a front-on shot:

And the shield design below. I painted it with a symbol of Apollo, and it's my first attempt at painting a design freehand:

There is a full picture of the back view of the figure on my blog, along with a couple of other pics: http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/livia-gladiatrix.html

Hope you like it! :)

She's a killer PP!!  :o

The freehand symbol is great - nice work.

Keen to face her in the arena soon...  >:(

Thanks, Suber!

I took another pic last night. Thought the rivals looked cool when I saw them poised in their archways, ready to take to the field.

Here, Livia prepares to fight against a male gladiator (painted by Christian).

Thanks! :) Me too ... that male gladiator has had some impressive wins before, so I'm hoping Livia is up to the challenge ;)

They look great! Reminds me of the old, old Superior mini of Achilles....must drag him out and get him in the gladiator queue!

Not a great pic, off the Perth Pewter site which has a load of the old Superior figures up for sale in...well, pewter  :)

Nice work, Princess.
You have a very neat and clean style that I appreciate, and that FIRST attempt at freehand is damned impressive!
