Your buildings and fences sure look the part.
And those generals sure look spiffy, too!
Thanks.
Thanks for your feedback!
You're welcome.
looks and sounds like a great project...
Thanks Giles
Never real tried this period but yours look good
Do you not need a shed load of infantry figures, that is what has put us off.
The big table sounds good as well, looking forward to battle pictures
Thanks for the vote of confidence Colin. As to the number of figures, I suppose you do need a fair number (I think the clue is in the board title - Big Battalions) which is why a lot of people use 15mm or even 10mm. But I can't paint for toffee at that scale and with Perry plastics being so cheap it is just a matter of time. Also ACW figures are really easy to paint up in large numbers, if you do a couple of cheats. I put more effort into the command figures and a few others such as the artillery and speed paint the rest. I also think good basing helps disguise the relatively simply painting as well.
Talking about artillery I added these to the horde recently. Perry plastic 10 pdr Parrot gun and separate limber. Figures are by Foundry as the plastic Perry artillerymen are pretty meh!
And I painted up one of the spare artillery crewmen as the artillery commander - Capt CL Best United States Artillery.
