The walls have now been painted. I have used a subdued palette and some light drybrushing.

The two 40mm Jim Bowen Saxons have been glued to scrap cork ready to start the undercoating and painting.

I have started painting the two Jim Bowen miniatures. I used a dark brown undercoat/basecoat and modified the shield on the figure on the left.

The painting is now done.

I have matt varnished the whole model and base with Galleria matt varnish and gloss varnished the metallic areas.

The whole model has been varnished with Galleria matt varnish and the metal areas picked out with gloss varnish. The groundwork has been detailed with ground foam and static grass tufts which were applied with superglue.
