Fabulous work on the terrain, miniatures and campaign itself.

There's something really pleasing to me about the hex based terrain.

Thanks.  I was looking at doing a completely home grown campaign but we needed to move on short notice.  The new house was too good of a deal to pass up.  Still in the process of sorting everything out there so I may not have time to work on the campaign or terrain.  I did draft up two scenarios that, on paper looked pretty balanced but you never know until they are played.

I hope it goes well.  In my group's experience the official campaigns that we have played (Thaw of the Lich Lord and Maze of Malcor) have been on the easy side - but then I think the key factor is whether the rival warbands try and wipe each other out or are happy to grab a couple of treasures each and run for it.  Campaigns tend to encourage players to play cautiously, but that is less fun!

Thank you very much! Almost everthing I make is based on round bases but my friend did a few things on hexes and I copied him for the pillars for the Cloisters in case we wanted to combine them.

I must commend your daughter on a glorious Hamster Banshee...

Ha!  I showed my daughter your comment and she was most indignant! Although now you have pointed it out I cannot see it any other way!

When looking for my notes on what happened during the encounter at the Wheel I found another scrap of notes from the battle at the Cloisters which I think is worth recording here.  One of the Witch's minions was locked in deadly combat with a Ghoul, had taken a few hits and was about to die.  In a desperate last ditch move the Witch's Apprentice attempted to cast Heal on his battling companion in the hope that he would survive long enough for help to arrive.  As it was a spell cast into combat it was a 50/50 chance as to who the spell would hit... and of course the Ghoul gained several very valuable points of health!  The other players gravely and sincerely offered the Witch player their sympathies and definitely did not laugh and point.

Anyway, on to the encounter at the The Wheel.  Unfortunately I cannot find any written record of what happened so will have to rely on my photographs.

Here is the table ready for action.

For reasons now lost to history the central treasure for the battle was a roast chicken.

We reused some of the cabinets from the First Scenario

Warbands advancing.

A sneaky soldier creeps up on some treasure while a Phase Cat suns herself by a pillar.

If you cant find brains then maybe roast chicken is a viable alternative?

Surely the Phase Cats were too cute to try and hit with a sword but apparently not:

The Enchanter's Construct grabbing some loot.

A sword fight on a table!

My next photo indicates that the Mouse won that encounter:

I cannot even remember if Remus lived or died - but he definitely looked cool and moody.
