They always got the worst of it- it just shows how is it essential for 19th Century rules to have a huge emphasis on command and control. This goes for all eras of course, but I think especially in the 19th CE
I find picking the “right” commanders from my gaming group can produce confusion and a mix of good and bad decisions 😂😂. The commander of the Egyptian Camel corps made a few “interesting” deployments - until they were over run. I really love scenario design and challenging them as an umpire .
