Brilliant Malcolm. Can't believe these chaps lost out quite so conclusively to the zouaves 'over there'. I thought they were extremely closely matched, but yours would edge it. Ah well, there's no accounting for taste  ::) ;)

Well done anyway. They are beautifully executed - the leader in particular.

Wow, Malcolm!  A period that I didn't expect to see you paint and a real treat!!  I also second oxiana as another card carrying owner that they almost certainly look better in person than in photos

Many thanks for commenting.  Glad you like them.   :)

Couple more photos.  Close up of the leader, and a group shot including the standard bearer.  (The owner wanted to do the flag himself.)

These are absolutely sublime!
Loving the skin tones and the way you make the colours work so well together. Very crisp and neat.
If what the chaps say is true, about the actual figures being so much better than the pictures, then they are very lucky chaps indeed.
To own figures of that calibre is a blessing.

As I have commented before  ::) I paint "for the eye" the fact that my figures usually photograph well, is just an added bonus.   :)
