Right then after getting a few Gotham heroes and villains and digging out the ones I had, I need to know the best method of stripping these for painting.

Cheers.

Our own Sunday Hero achieved some excellent results stripping 'clix (as seen here):

IIRC, his method was to brush them lightly with acetone and then quickly rinse/wipe them off (no dunking or lengthy soaking as the bendy 'clix plastic melts).

A good 1 hour soak in window cleaner and a toothbrush scrub will strip much of the paint and is kind to the figure. Follow that with the quick acetone scrub and you should be okay.

Best to test on one of the dud figures first however - To see how the acetone affects it.

My landlord tells me surgical spirit is fine to use on bendy clix, but I'll be testing it out on something easily replaceable before I risk melting a promo Batman...

Yes, acetone works on most clix figures. Just be very carefull since acetone is a dangerous product.
