Review of the Otherworld Adventures extras!
« on: 02 April 2013, 09:12:15 AM »
Hello all. Being in the fortunate position of living just round the corner from Otherworld HQ I was able to pick up the first two Adventurer boxed sets and the so far released extras on Thursday. I've done a review of those extras on my blog here:

Thank-you for posting this.

Some things are already available in the webstore.
The firts two character boxes are available as sets and as individual blisters.

I have ordered Assasin, Cleric, Magic User version 2 (who looks like Merlin from Excalibur) and thief variant 2 already.
I will get some other stuff as they become available.

I really like the sculpts, but I simply cannot get on board with the prices....way, way out of my "reasonable" range.  Shame as I love the idea of selling a box of adventurers etc.

It's true that they are pricey, and certainly at the upper edge of my own envelope of affordability.  That said, I've occasionally spent more (£5+ a figure) on some desirable bit of ebay tat, and I didn't get 20 Euros' worth of snazzy case to keep it in, either.  The prices compare reasonably with other boutique lines such as RBG, which are also lovely but pricey this side of the pond.

Oh and Erny, nice look at the familiars!  I didn't get them at my level, but they are very nice.

I normally buy classic stuff off ebay so I'm not too aware of current pricing however I think on a cost to quality ratio these toys are cheap.

Nice review there erny.
I like the otherworld stuff, I buy a voucher and then spend that as it saves a good amount of cash. The armoured undead of there's are some of the best around.
