good base paint scheme ?

Hi,

I'm searching for a good paint scheme to make my gaming minis bases. I like to make them with a dirt visual feeling.

But I'm never completly satisfied by my results. Pictures I found here on LAF, for same objective (representing dirt) often shows better results.

So I'm asking for help to improve my dirt bases. Thank you !
