Jesus these are great, the buildings and especially the boat. Fantastic, well done Ben. Is it possible to have a quick post on how you built the boat???
Sure!
First I painted one half of the boats shape on a piece of card, then cut it out and use it to draw the other half.
Use the template to cut a piece of styrodur (about 1cm strong), cut the edges in an acute angle to give the boat its basic shape. Use some needles to stick a piece of card around one side of the styrodur, then draw the shape of the railing on this paper, cut it out and use this as a template for the other side.
Glue the planks on top of the styrodur, then glue the railing to the styrodur, use white glue and fix it with the needles again until it's dry. Finish the railing at the front and back. I use a doublesided tape or hot glue to glue the planks to the outside of the railing.
For the tents I cut a rectangular piece of card. You will have to cut the two short sides until it fits the shape of your boat (you can fix it with needles and cut it at the model), use this as template for the wallpaper. Again, I use the doublesided tape to glue the wallpaper to the card template, then use hot glue to fix it at the boat as this is the only glue that dries fast enough.
If you want a mast at your boat, push it into the styrodur before you do the planking. You can glue it in place when the rest of the model s done, right before painting.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask, maybe it's not that clear for you as it is for me!

When I cut the next blocks of the styrodur I will try to take some pics, can't do at the moment because my hot wire isn't here!
