chinese buildings - the turbo way
« on: March 02, 2013, 04:05:04 PM »
As every year, I built some scenery for one of my friends birthday. As 2013 is my rcw/BoB-theme-year and he fields a chinese army in the BoB I choose to build him some small chinese houses as a test piece for the other ones I will build till november.

Now I think about what specials our chinese village will need?

But heres the pic:

What did you use for the roof?

The roofs are plastic sheets I bought from a french seller at the Crisis/Antwerp. If you heat them at about 100°C you can bend them around a tube.  ;)

Always nice to see more Chinese architecture.  Suitably grubby stucco for the BoB  :-*

Yep, there it is! But be aware that this quy doesn't know how to use a ruler, so even if you buy multiples of the same sheet, you could get different sizes of tiles. And it doesn't help to talk to him...  :(

Hello, I know how to use a rule(ruler) but it is necessary to recognize that to Crisis, it is difficult to tidy up that every time a customer after the disorder!

Thank you all! I will have to build more in about a month, as the next birthdays are coming.  ;)

Hi Nicolo, not a real big problem for me now, as I will use the different sheets at different projects (my spanish and chinese houses) so this won't be recognizable.
But when I bought them I was a bit pissed off when I realised I got different ones, and even when I came back ten minutes later and talked to you I couldn't get the right ones.
I know it can be stressy at a show, so lets hope it works better if you order direct from the shop.

I did the next two houses over the last evenings and am really happy with them.

Today I gave them to their new owner, as always a birthday present.
Unfortunately I forgot to take some photos - but I'm sure Remington will take a pic for us if we ask him nicely! ;)

Excellent buildings
Which is the sheet number you used for the roofing?
