warlord release of a truck useful for late interwar ...
« on: October 31, 2014, 11:13:10 AM »

it seem's to be a BERLIET VSA .
this light truck was produced in the early 30's .

very few were still in use in the french army in 1939 .
but there were a lot of civilian ones ...

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Now that warlord is releasing all of their forced of arms stuff, methinks we'll see plenty more interwar goodness. From what I can see warlord has refreshingly taken note of their target audiences growing interest in the interwar period.

But what scale is it? I mean "how big is it", really. In my experience there has been a wide range of interpretations of the same scale between the different model makers. I once bought a little British armoured car that was alleged to be "28mm" but rather than 1/56th scale was more like 1/64th scale. The door was small in real life but on the model the 28mm figure's head didn't look like it could fit through so I deemed it "too small" (rightly or wrongly.) So with Warlord and all these models from all different sources I am worried about scale consistency.

Mostly this is due to people assuming 28mm = total figure height, as opposed to 'just to the eyes' for some figure ranges. As a result some ranges go for 1/64 ("27mm" top to toe) scale vehicles, when instead they should have been going for something around 1/56 ("32mm" top to toe).

I find it very frustrating, especially as I'm one of those anal-retentives who must have his vehicles at least in the ball-park as regards figure scale.

I feel you on that one. Drives me nuts.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
