Thanks Rumacara. A few close-ups is probably a good idea, and I'll be sure to do that with the next regiment I have which is nearing completion.

Looking really good again Plutarch.

And I still haven't finished basing my 3rd and 15th Olivenza battalions.
But close. very close.  Just the flags and flocking to go.

Thanks Gustav. Not far to go with yours then, and I hope you'll post a few pictures when complete.

Certainly will, well as best as I can.

However I doubt mine will be as spiffing as yours as they are more "campaign" styled.
Not sure why, just how I felt they worked.  Perhaps because of the ad hoc supply that affected them.

I usually prefer parade dress.

I know what you mean Gustav, and I feel a little "blinkered" when it comes to painting figures in a campaign style. I believe I am lacking a little in the creative department and, unless the miniature itself has been sculpted that way, about the most I do at present is to throw a couple of replacement non-issue trousers into each unit (in the case of the Portuguese, some brown peasant-cloth attire).

It is something I have to work on, I feel.
