Hello Folks,

I'm starting a new project of the ACW 'out west' - Kansas, Missouri & the Indian Territories etc.

I'm likely to be keeping it mainly skirmish based, so have decided to start with the Foundry Bushwhackers & Jayhawkers, militia and so on as the core of my collection. So far so good... but can anyone recommend me an ACW range that will work well with them? Foundry's own range is the same size as their older Wild west line so will look a bit dinky. Having stared at various size comparison photos online I was thinking that Redoubt and/or Renegade might work well... and then other photos look more like Perry will be the best fit... Any suggestions?

Company D also look like a good possibility, but their range is fairly limited at the moment - although currently wondrously centred on the war out west, a touch of variety is the spice of life and all that...

Cheers!
Xander

I think quality wise Perry would be your best bet for comparative sculpting standards in my opinion but they will be smaller, the horse would definitely be a bit smaller from mixing other ranges

Between Foundry, Company D and Perry miniatures you get what you search and you can mix them all with just minor size diferences but not much noticeable.
If you need comparative shots between foundy and Company D i can take some (only mounted figures though).

Sorry for taking so long.
From left to right, perry, company D, foundry, Company D.
Hope this helps.

Hello mate, I would say have a look at the Redoubt range I'm sure there's what you want in there somewhere if my memory serves. And probably best to give them a call.
Cheers JB
