List of Pulp figure Manufacturers
« on: December 09, 2013, 09:05:22 PM »
Feel free to suggest any additions!

25-32mm

Antediluvian Miniatures
Artizan (very large lineup of Pulp, WWII, and Interwar figures)
Askari
Black Army Productions
Blind Beggar Miniatures (pulp minis by LAF's very own Mason!)
Blue Moon Manufacturing
Brigade Games
Copplestone Castings (another major player with large Pulp, Gangster, and RCW, figure collections, all of which are useful for pulp games)
Crooked Dice
Crucible Crush (line of investigators made from variant Bob Murch figures as well as new fishmen)
East Riding (mainly the the ERM 25 line)
EM4 (a small line of pulp investigators and Cthulhu-flavoured monsters)
Empress (mostly their SCW line, but there are others, like their lovely Afghans and the Mutton Chop line)
Eureka
Fenris (crossover with Call of Cthulhu gaming)
Foundry
Gorgon Studios (early WWII as well as some 30's gangsters & cops)
Gripping Beast (the Woodbine Designs packs)
Harwood Hobbies
Hasslefree
Hinterland (a pack of pulp characters)
Hydra
Irregular Miniatures (mainly their VBCW line)
Khurasan
Lucid Eye
Mirliton (A few old Call of Cthulhu figures)
Musketeer (mainly their VBCW & ICW lines)
North Star
Paolo Parente's Dust (more WWWII than pulp, but some figures can be used)
Pulp Alley (publisher of the most popular Pulp wargaming ruleset as well as a growing line of very high-quality figures - for UK/EU distribution see Statuesque miniatures)
Pulp Figures (by Bob Murch. Excellent and large line of pure traditional Pulp across several subgenres)
RAFM (crossover with Call of Cthulhu gaming)
Ral Partha (mainly monsters, but also a small number of actual pulp figures)
Reaper (a few, buried amongst other offerings, mostly in the Chronoscope line)
Sally 4th
Spartan Games (The Achtung! Cthulhu line mostly, but they have accessories and a few other figures suitable for pulp)
Statuesque Miniatures (sculptor and UK/EU distributor of the official Pulp Alley miniatures, also has a few additional pulp-usable figures)
Steve Barber (some dinos, gangsters, and g-men)
Strange Aeons
Studio "Siberia" (more BoB than Pulp, but has many interwar soldiers and unique characters - our own Cuprum is one of the owners)
Tengu Models (mostly a line of Lovecraftian monsters)
Tiger Miniatures
Tin Man Miniatures
Tsuba
Warlord Games (their WWII Bolt Action line has a number of figures useable in the interwar period.
West Wind (similar to Dust, they are more properly a WWWII line, but also have some usable figures in other lines, such as their Vampire Horror lines)

15-20mm

Band B Miniatures (20mm FFL plus a few others)
Blue Moon Manufacturing
CP Miniatures (20mm, many ranges)
Elheim (20mm, including the old Force 20 range of figures)
Irregular Miniatures (mainly their 20mm VBCW line, yes they have both 28mm and 20mm VBCW offerings!)
Khurasan
Rebel Miniatures (a fair-sized line of 15mm pulp offerings)
Sgt. Magor Miniatures (a few 20mm offerings amongst other things)
Stan Johansen Miniatures (a few 20mm offerings amongst various lines)

A more detailed 20mm list, including most conventional 1:72/20mm military model manufacturers can be found here.

===

Please DO NOT suggest the addition of Black Cat Bases at this time.

They do have a fair quantity of pulp or pulp-related figures, yes, but they have had SEVERE issues with order fulfillment, with some orders being held up for more than two years, during which time they were quite happy to remain open, continuing all the while to accept orders and money without sending anything at all.

While it seems things have been improved more recently with Black Cat Bases, with long-forgotten orders finally sent out and new orders being fulfilled and in a timely fashion, they will not be added to the list as a regular manufacturer at this time. Orders placed with BCB should be at your own risk and you should be EXTREMELY prepared to demand a refund through PayPal or your credit card company if you do choose to order through them.

If at a future date it becomes clear that they are once again a reliable supplier as demonstrated by a sustained period of good behaviour and that all past outstanding orders have well and truly been made good, then I will consider adding them as a normal manufacturer.

For further gruesome details or more up-to-date information, please see this thread: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=59375.0

I probably have a broader idea of "pulp" than some other folks, but I'd add --

Hinterland -- Jason has a nice pack of "Pulp Characters"
Blue Moon
Hydra -- Got to love those retro-sci-fi figs
Eureka
Crooked Dice
Tin Man
Northstar
Hasslefree

Blue Moon! That was the one I was groping around trying to remember!

Should have had Hasslefree, Eureka, and Tin Man too (hell, I've even bought stuff from Tin man before).

Oh, what about including a section for 15-18mm figures?

Rebel Minis and Splintered Light come to mind, but I know there must be more.

I think a lot of the above have a few smaller lines too. Not sure which ones, though.

Not yet, but I will update the bloglink once the castings come back and I can take some pics of them.
I will let you know when that is done.
