Jay,  You forgot Kings Mountain. And I know that you have them LOL LOL.

I do ... I did a separate post for them and saw they are mentioned earlier ;-)

But that reminds me I should update that particular post ...

I know they have been said but for me it has to be Galloping Major, Redoubt and North Star. This is pretty much what my range is made up from. Im going to use Crusader for my British and French infantry.

Don't dismiss the foundry 7yw range, nice and chunky and fit well with galloping major until he gets his out

I think the Crusader Infantry is a bit short compared to Redoubt and Galloping Major. I am trying to find a comparison shot.

Edit_ Try this link....http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=13151.0

I think Crusader are a bit in between, but if you are happy with that then OK

The Foundry stuff I'm more than familiar with - I have a small SYW collection

Thankfully, all 1700 Foundry Prussians and Russians are now painted, and I just have 50 more (already painted 750) Front Rank Austrians to do.

I was always interested in FIW, I've even read half a dozen books about it, but I've somehow lost track of the figure ranges.

Thanks,

James

I also want to add my voice of support to Galloping Major, lovely figures and very satisfying to paint.

Conquest and Redoubt also have some nice stuff. We are quite spoiled for nice FIW figures!

If only you'd painted French and British for your 7YW collection you would already have all the regular troops you need for North America.
French & Indian war is a really great period - and Muskets & Tomahawks is a terrific set of rules. Sharp Practice also works very well for this conflict (and of course you can use the same figures).
