Alternative Cartel gang figures?
« on: 04 October 2020, 02:17:06 PM »
Hi Chaps,
Does anyone know of alternative gang figures for Spectre? I keep popping to their site and they never seem to be in stock... does any other UK manufacturer make anything similar?
Having just binge watched Narcos and Sicario 1 and 2 I really "need" some figures to paint. There are only so many Barrios I can build without any inhabitants.
Thanks in advance.

UK based - Studio Miniatures do (did?) some latino street gangers in the Turf War Z range (which is being rereleased as street gangs or some such).
Did Tiny Terrain do some?!
The Foundry Street Violence range may have a couple of useful models.

Elsewhere - Badger Games do the old Obelisk street gangs (male and female latinos)
Someone somewhere still does the Bobby Jackson Thugz range, although they are a bit Gangsta?

Thanks Dragon, I will look these companies up as I have not heard of them. I am a bit surprised that the more established companies have not had a go at this but I suppose that the expense may make it a risky venture.
Thanks again.

Studio Miniatures do bikers and Latinos at the very least; you have sprues of heads and arms so you can customise your figures - ask about buying extra weapon sprues. I have some bikers I intend to use in a “Justified” inspired game and had great fun putting them together. Getting extra weapon sprues from other packs will be key if you buy the latino gang but want say M4s or AKs

You've no doubt seen this upcoming Kickstarter from Brigade Games? Lots of great Narco figures in there. I might even grab some if they hit commercial sale.

Tiny Terrain Models certainly did do a range and police/SWAT to oppose them, I know because I've got them! I've just checked the website and couldn't see them listed but maybe an email might be worth giving a go, nice bloke, very helpful.

Thanks for the pointers Chaps I will be checking out the website.

Bravo 6 I had not seen the Brigade Games kickstarter! Wow they really hit the spot... I have never backed a kickstarter nor have I even read anything about them. I may just wait for them to be released... is it me or are the cast from the first Narcos in the Cartel packs LOL. They will be fun.

Yes I agree. Perfect figures. I'd never considered Narco gaming before, but have seen alot of good stuff in this genre on Prime lately, namely "ZeroZeroZero". Oh and I also blame James' thread here on LAF "Cartel a Go Go".  lol

I sent an email to Lon at Brigade asking if and when this will happen, but so far no response.

Ulverston, here's the Cartel a Go Go thread from James. Lots of broken images from the Photobucket debacle, but some have survived:
