That is ome superb work! I love the terrain, looks suitably grimey and industrial!

What really left me speechless is the painting on the engine of the train, the effect of the fire inside, the tea pot on top etc. are just stunning

I'm glad you like the interior ( glow and all.)
Originally it only existed as an insert for my scratch builds as I got fed up of repeatedly making a new one each time . So I made a stamp mould to make a core piece that can be customised as and when it's need.
I got a lot of PM's on the book of face about having a set so I made an interior set and a series of industrial looking figures that could be used as a locomotive crew as  well as universal engineering types.( They'll be out in the new year.)

As for railway tracks
I don't have any 3D printed pieces . Instead I've two different versions of track very close in width. The set on the embankment is just cardboard coloured in to look like track.
The other is that black plastic track you get with the Christmas toy railway sets. All that's had done I'd three different colours of brown dry brushes on the sleepers and a raggity line of a rust colour down the sides of each rail,then the tops painted in a chainmail metallic.
Glued to a strip of card. Then 3mm grey railway ballast glued on . With some mixed herbs on the edges. Then a lazy spray of PVA over the whole thing.( Lazy as I just grabbed the bottle of flock layering spray PVA and blasted away as it was just an experiment.)
The level crossings I use are just pimped up Hornby Dublo diecast ones.Which are very easy ( and cheep if you keep looking and bare in mind you're going to rework them anyway.)

Spent a little time this evening testing a board set up. So it's not a 100% . Rather a nudge and a check that it's moving in the right direction.

I've  just spent the last couple of evenings going through this thread from the start. What a joy it's been! An amazing journey, fabulous, characterful figures and the buildings are stunning. Thank you for sharing and I hope you get time to play with them
